Project Description
The Cube is being built to hit the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard, with rainwater harvesting featuring in the scheme, a large photovoltaic array on the roof and smart technology installed throughout to help reduce energy consumption once the building has been completed.
Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, it will provide more than 35,000 square metres of office space, 8,000 square metres of retail and leisure space as well as 5,500 square metres of public realm improvements,
The office building will rise 14 floors above street level, with unrivalled views across Hyde Park and Central London. The building will also incorporate five floors of retail, mixing global, independent, high street and heritage brands, as well as high quality restaurants and eateries, plus a new Bakerloo line ticket hall for London Underground.
West London’s highest rooftop restaurant and terrace, and a new public piazza featuring the UK’s first permanent outdoor public art commissions from internationally acclaimed artists Ugo Rondinone, Pae White and Catherine Yass.
Straightline Consulting Ltd were appointed for the commissioning management services, Facility Grid was the platform used to facilitate the work-flow management processes working towards the achievement of BREEAM excellent rating.
